New Year Brings Many Improvements
Fresh on the heels of a busy 2007, this new year promises to be even busier with many great changes.
Internally, you can expect The R.E. source Store to bring on the following:
- New focus on "grid-tie" solar packages from 1.5 to 10 kW nameplate capacity. These packages promise to bring prices down further on some of the highest quality products in the industry.
- New leasing packages covering all packages from "grid tie" solar to solar thermal heating.
- More manufacturer direct products to help bring prices down futher.
- Better website support pages for system design and code compliance.
Externally, we are awaiting the following:
- The further introduction of the smart meter program to more areas of Ontario. Provincially, everyone will have a smart meter (where you pay different rates at different times of the day) by 2010, but we are aware of many jurisdictions that will begin this new year.
- The anticipated "tiered" solar rate schedule for the OPA standard offer contract. If the rumours are true, this will provide much needed financial balance to micro distributed generation solar systems.
- Continued manufacturer and distributor consolidations to increase economies of scale and ultimately decrease prices on the retail level.
For those of you who did not get a chance to take advantage of our boxing week specials, we have extended the sale until the end of the first week of January. All items are in-stock and ready to ship!
Of course, we hope you have a warm and happy 2008. Call us if you need us!
Signed,
The R.E. Source Store |
